James H. Bayse - Attorney/Principal
James earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He continued his academic pursuits and earned a Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law, where he was a member of Moot Court Honors Board, Phi Alpha Delta, and a Teaching Assistant for first year law students in Research and Writing Skills.
James is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, and the Sacramento County Bar Association. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and is a Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court of Sacramento County.
In his spare time James enjoys golf, cycling, travel, and scuba diving. He is a Professional Association of Diving Instructors certified diver.
Janine Wallace-Mehta, is a paralegal with 20 years experience. She attended California State University, Sacramento, and received her Paralegal Certificate from Barclay's College in 1990. With 20 years of experience in a family law office, Janine has extensive experience dealing with the complex and emotional issues involved with divorce. She has worked at the Law Office of James H. Bayse for 10 years.
Janine is a Notary Public certified by the California Secretary of State, and member of the National Notaries Association. She was a volunteer with the Placer Women's Center (now Peace for Families) from 1995 to 2000, and is a Certified Peer Counselor, Certified Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and Certified Domestic Violence Emergency Response Team (DVERT).
Janine has extensive experience working with clients under stressful conditions, and is dedicated to assisting them through the litigation process.
